About Brandon

Brandon is an undergraduate student of the Physics & Astronomy Department at the Rochester Institute of Technology and he will be attending his freshman year on campus this coming fall after graduating a year early from high school. He's spent the past several years studying the night sky through the eyepiece of his own telescopes and has high hopes of becoming a Professional Astronomer and Astrophysicist in years to come.

At the age of 16 Brandon published his first work on astronomy in the January 2012 issue of Astronomy Magazine on "How to Sketch Deep Sky Objects", and not long after he published an article in Amateur Astronomy Magazine on a similar topic. His main interests at this point concern radio astronomy, optics, exoplanet detection, supernovae and solar phenomena. Brandon is also a member of the Astronomy Section of the Rochester Academy of Science and has given presentations at the annual RocheStarFest, as well being the main speaker at one of the general monthly meetings at RIT.
